ABOUT ME
Ivan Cappello is a DJ, producer and tennis teacher born in 1992. Born in Modica, Sicily, he devoted his adolescence to the study of house music.
In business as a disc-jockey since 2008, the artist has played in the most important clubs in eastern Sicily and at the same time began to feel the need to produce his own tracks.
A need that materializes, however, 8 years later: in 2016 and that allows the Modica to “take flight” thanks to important songs and collaborations.
In fact, after joining the crew of Italian-Brazilian DJ Leandro Da Silva , the producer released in 2020 “ Blow up the night” song made in collaboration with Da himself Silva and released with one of the most important record labels in the world, “Spinnin ‘Records” .
From then on his tracks will be supported by disc-jockeys such as Tiesto, Hardwell, David Guetta, Plastik Funk, Zedd, John Gibbons, EDX, Gregor Salto, Daddy’s Groove, Kryder, Blasterjaxx, Gianluca Vacchi, Ummet Ozcan and many others.
Support that has allowed him to make himself known in the panorama of international electronic music, and that has also pushed him beyond national borders, thus bringing him to European stages (Holland, Spain, Hungary, Belgium and Germany) and also to his first tour – always in 2020 – around India.
In 2021, the producer starts a collaboration with his colleague from Palermo Dario Trapani and together they decide to work on the official cover of the famous 90 ‘song by The Beloved, “Sweet Harmony”. strong> Project that allows him to become part of the family of Dutch producer Hardwell and to find a collaboration also with the Spanish Plastik Funk , who participates in the creation of the cover.
Always busy with events, the Modican is also the artistic director of a Sicilian radio station “ RTM ” and in addition to conducting a program, every week he publishes his radio show “Chapeau!”.
Parallel to music, Cappello is also a tennis teacher . In fact, after playing at a competitive level for years, in 2021, he joined the most important tennis club in Italy – the “ Tennis club Parioli ” in Rome – where he taught for some years, before returning to Modica.
